What Dreams May Come

A Dream Interpretation Study Group

Weekly Conference Call

Date/Time TBD*

This is an ongoing fifty-minute study group based on understanding dreams from a Jungian Perspective. We will analyze dreams that have been published elsewhere, not the dreams of participants. The skills learned will allow members to understand their own dreams.

*We will start when we have at least 4 people signed up and find a time that works for everyone.

The approach follows the method articulated by Robert Johnson, a Jungian analyst who wrote several books including:

Inner Work: Using Dreams and Active Imagination for Personal Growth
He: Understanding Masculine Psychology
She: Understanding Feminine Psychology
We: Understanding the Psychology of Romantic Love
Owning Your Own Shadow: Understanding the Dark Side of the Psyche

The method involves listing each image of the dream and what it might represent within the personality of the dreamer. Then we explore the larger narrative that emerges about how the various parts of the dreamer are interacting. Finally, the dream is responded to in a personally meaningful act of ritual.
