Wisdom of the Body refers to our ability to sense what’s happening in our bodies and live from a more integrated place. It’s about healing the wounds caused by trauma from the bottom-up, focusing on finding safety and strength in our bodies.

We learn to track the arousal of our nervous system and to ground and soothe ourselves by focusing on resources in the body and our environment. We develop tolerance for uncomfortable sensations and discover how to release, express and listen to the wisdom they represent.

These skills are especially important for people who struggle with a history of violence and sexual trauma.
